Scope of Application

This policy applies to information collected and processed by Fangchenggang Lvkang Spice Co., Ltd. ("we" / "us") through www.lvkangspices.com, our business inquiry form, corporate email, telephone and follow-up business communications. This website is primarily a B2B product, inquiry, sample and compliance-information site and does not provide online payment. It also covers the business contact details we obtain from public sources when we write to a company ourselves; section 3 explains where those come from.

Information We Collect

Where We Obtained Your Details

We sometimes write to companies we have not dealt with before, to ask how they source star anise and cassia. If that is how you came to hear from us, your details did not come from us being contacted first, and Article 14 GDPR requires us to say where they did come from. We did not buy a list, and we did not receive your details from a data broker or a marketing partner. Every address comes from one of the following, and we keep a record of which one applies to you:

• A public trade directoryMember lists of the European Spice Association and the American Spice Trade Association, and published exhibitor lists of food-ingredient trade fairs.

We collect only business contact details — a role or work email address, the company name, country and website, and publicly stated information about what the company does. Ask us and we will tell you specifically which source applies to your address. If you would rather not hear from us again, reply to any of our emails with the word unsubscribe, or write to [email protected]. We remove the address permanently and do not need a reason.

Purpose of Use

• To respond to sourcing inquiries, prepare quotations, samples, certification files or partnership proposals, and take requested pre-contract steps;
• To perform contracts, arrange production and delivery, and provide after-sales or compliance support;
• To protect website security, prevent misuse and improve the website and business service where necessary;
• To introduce ourselves to companies in the spice trade and ask how they source today. Where the recipient is a business and local law allows it, we rely on our legitimate interest in direct business-to-business communication (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) rather than on prior consent, having first weighed that interest against your rights; where local law requires consent, we obtain it first. Every message carries a working way to opt out, and you may do so at any time.

Information Sharing & Cross-border Transfer

We do not sell personal information. To process inquiries, provide email and website services, arrange samples or logistics, support customs clearance or compliance, we may provide necessary information to technology, logistics and professional-service providers subject to confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Where information is processed across borders, we apply data-minimisation principles and appropriate contractual, access-control or other safeguards required by applicable law.

Data Security & Retention

We use reasonable measures including access controls, encrypted transmission, permissions management and backups. Information is retained only as long as needed to respond to inquiries, maintain a business relationship, perform a contract or comply with legal obligations. When no longer required, it is deleted, anonymised or access-restricted.

Your Rights

• Access, correct, delete or, where applicable, export your personal information;
• Withdraw consent, restrict, or object to specific processing;
• Object to direct marketingThis right is absolute (Article 21(2) GDPR). You need give no reason and we cannot weigh anything against it — replying unsubscribe is enough, and the address then goes on a suppression list so that we never write to it again;
